Acetylene Cylinder Requalification
One stop source for all your Acetylene cylinder needs.
In the portion of the facility wholly dedicated to acetylene cylinder requalification, our DOT certified technicians will inspect your acetylene cylinders following the guidelines found in the Compressed Gas Association (CGA) publication C-13. Included in the base requalification price will be blow-down and collection of residual acetylene (if necessary), sandblasting of the cylinders to remove accumulated paint prior to external inspection for shell integrity, valve removal and replacement of felts and screens after internal inspection of the cores and threads, repainting of acceptable cylinders (primer plus topcoat), and stamping of the cylinders with the appropriate inspection markings. Copies of the inspection reports will be provided when your cylinders are returned to you.
Cylinders that fail to be requalified will be returned to you or shifted to our recycling program at your option. Failed cylinders that are shifted to our recycling program will have the associated defect(s) photographically documented for you. This full circle process provides a very effective acetylene cylinder management program for our customers.
Our Transportation department has the necessary trucks customized to handle all of your cylinder logistic needs. We are fully insured and permitted.
